Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon

Heidi Regenass is a Newport Beach, California–based physician who is board-certified in cosmetic plastic surgery and palliative medicine, with over 25 years of experience across respected medical institutions and private practice. Her work centers on integrative and longevity-focused care, combining natural methods with evidence-based medical treatments. She focuses on helping patients maintain overall health while supporting long-term well-being through thoughtful, structured care.

Heidi approaches each patient by considering the full picture of health, including physical condition, mental balance, and lifestyle habits. Her philosophy is based on prevention and individualized care plans that aim to support stability and function over time. By integrating traditional medical practices with supportive approaches, she works to improve patient outcomes practically.

Early Environment and Motivation

Her early life in Zimbabwe influenced her decision to enter the medical field. Growing up in a setting where access to healthcare was limited, she observed the difficulties faced by children who lacked proper treatment. These experiences shaped her understanding of the importance of accessible and effective care.

A personal experience also played a key role. Observing her father’s experience with cancer and the challenges related to symptom control provided her with insight into the importance of compassionate care. This led her to focus on areas of medicine that prioritize patient comfort and overall quality of life.

Academic Journey and Specialized Training

Heidi Regenass began her education with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, followed by a Master of Science in Health Education. This foundation helped build her understanding of health and wellness.

She later earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where she was recognized for her academic performance and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her General Surgery residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Her advanced training included a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the University of Utah and a Palliative Care Medicine Fellowship through the Mayo program. This combination allowed her to develop skills in both surgical procedures and long-term patient care.

Professional Practice and Leadership

After completing her training, she established her clinic in 2004 in Phoenix and later moved her practice to Newport Beach. Throughout her career, she has held a range of roles across various healthcare environments.

Heidi served as Hospice Medical Director in Los Angeles and worked as a palliative medicine physician at organizations such as Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Intermountain Health Care. She also held a leadership role as Medical Director of Palliative Medicine at a hospital in Phoenix.

In addition to her work in palliative care, she practiced as a cosmetic plastic surgeon in Salt Lake City. Her experience spans both private practice and hospital settings. Heidi Regenass has also contributed to the development of palliative care programs for larger healthcare organizations.

Heidi has contributed to patient education and public awareness throughout her career. As a media consultant, she presented wellness, cosmetic procedures, and anti-aging information on television.

She also developed a seminar series focused on the connection between internal health and outward appearance. This program emphasized practical knowledge to help individuals improve overall well-being.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a corporate wellness specialist in both the United States and Zimbabwe.
